Hope

There is a plan for you!

In the Bible, in Jeremiah 29:11, it is stated, "For I (God) know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope" (N.A.S.). As God is the perfect Creator of all things, an infinite source of wisdom and knowledge, wouldn't you want to experience His plan for your life?

To experience His plan, we must first know Him. In John 14:6, Jesus (God's son) says, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." To know God we must go through Jesus. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (N.A.S.). How do we receive Him? Revelation 3:20 says, "Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, ...." The door is symbolic of our hearts, the way into our inner person. But I don't feel worthy, I feel separated from God! Your feelings are right! We aren't worthy and we are separated. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." So what can I do? Repent!  Make a 180 degree turn.

Here is a simple prayer:

Dear Father:

I know that I am separated from You. I believe that Christ died on the cross and shed His blood for my sins, and I receive Your forgiveness. I am willing to turn from my way and go Your way. Lord Jesus, I now invite You into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. I will follow and obey You as the Lord of my life—In Jesus name. Amen.

Welcome to the Family of God! You have now started the first day of experiencing His plan for your life. Pray, read the Bible and become an active part of the church.
